Can panelists comment on the value of school gardens, at every level, for teachings on climate crisis?

46:47
Following on Connie’s question, do you find that students are able to make the connections between the experience and climate change? How much priming or debriefing do you find you need to do to make these linkages?

47:10
Thomas, I love the mobility inclusion!!

48:06
How did you navigate Covid-19 in terms of actually running field schools; i.e., what key adaptations did you make?

48:09
question for any or all panelists: how might you take your climate pedagogy understanding and transfer that to engagement with decision makers? perhaps in otherwords, what examples from your experience could be transferred to put in place with government leaders?

i love that "growing spaces" can take multiple meanings.

Great question about school gardens. It's possible to make connections with gardeners in local school communities to host visits from children - and even actively gardening there. But in Ontario very few schools have gardens of their own.

Tangentially to this question: Some of the links in my slides for future reference, is this is of interest…

I love the way you phrased this Margot “wrestle complexity into coherence”. What we aim for in climate change education. ++

55:34
I love that line too
