Program Showcase Webinar Series: Engineering

The unique design of Lakehead’s programs
in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Software
Engineering offered at the Thunder Bay Campus enables students to earn a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in four years, while also earning an Engineering Technology Diploma in their respective field by the end of the second year of their BEng degree.

The field of engineering is generally associated with
finding solutions for real world problems in an analytical fashion using the math, science and problem-solving skills developed through a solid education in engineering fundamentals. Engineers must also possess excellent communication skills as well as an understanding of the management, legal, and societal issues that impact
development of technological products and processes.
